CONCEPT & ULTIMATE AIM

The ultimate aim in the Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do is based on the ancient Heiho (Budo) concept which says that:  After reaching the end within the search for combat efficiency the final  objective passes from death to life. Stages in the development are:

          1. How to win destroying the opponent

          2. How to win using less power

          3. How to win without killing the opponent

          4. How to win without hurting the opponent

          5. How to avoid war

          6. How to establish peace

POWER - KI - BREATHING

  • POWER in Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do, like in all genuine Budo arts is derived from the flow of Ki within the body and ability to apply the Ki to the karate techniques.
  • KI is inherent fundamental energy beyond intellectual comprehension and the only way to access it is through the body or physical intelligence.
  • BREATHING cultivates physical intelligence, transmits Ki energy throughout the body and it is a way to increase the power of KI. Abdominal or Hara breathing initiates all movements during karate practice.
