Official 2005 Gasshuku
The first official Gasshuku of the Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do Instructors Academy after the death of its founder Shihan Taiji Kase was held in Sport Camp Loutraki, near Athens.
Around 50 Academy members and 10 assistants from 16 countries took part.
The wife, Mrs.Chieko Kase and daughter Sachiko were present too.
All members of the Academy Shihankai and Administration attended the course.
Training session on Friday, June 3rd was taken by Dirk Heene sensei, two sessions on Saturday, June 4th by Velibor Dimitrijevic sensei and two sessions on Saturday, June 5th by Pascal Petrella sensei.
On Saturday evening during the meeting, all Academy members expressed their loyalty to the Academy idea and strong determination to continue the way of our great teacher. One-hour video projection was presented, showing Kase Sensei from one of his previous courses in Greece. In an impressive monologue he was explaining and demonstrating the fundamentals of his approach in the art and philosophy of Budo Karate. It was a clear massage that, in order to go beyond the physical level, it is crucial to develop breathing techniques above all and to search for the unlimited abilities of the mind.
Mrs. Chieko Kase accepted to be the Honorary President of the Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do Instructors Academy.

International Course
Around 80 participants from England, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Serbia, South Africa, Scotland and Greece took part.
During five days course, with two morning sessions from 09:30 to 13:00 the whole concept of KaseHa Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do was presented. Particular emphasis was given to the center of gravity control, ground contact and stance control. In order to understand the importance of Ibuki breathing in converting the raw physical power into the energy flow different forms of breathing implementation were analyzed, alone and with the partner/opponent.

VLASINA LAKE, Serbia
Regular Summer Camp of the
Shotokan Karate-Do Academy of Serbia.
Around a 100 participants from all of the Serbia, Greece, Montenegro and Republic of Srpska attended five days course.
Though the training program was both, physically and mentally very demanding, an excellent atmosphere and enthusiasm prevailed. The day started at 06:00 in the morning. During one hour outside training, emhasizes were given to the breathing and energy development, connected with the stretching and moving exercises at the same time.
From 10:00 to 13:00 hours two more sessions followed in the Dojo. During the first session, individual improvement in different techniques and kata was important. The second session was dedicated to the practical implementation. Different forms of Kihon and Jiyu Kumite, as well as Bunaki and OyoBunaki for the most characteristic elements of Heian Kata were practiced with the opponent. Some sophisticated forms of resistance with the partner were engaged in order to improve sensitivity and develop feelings for energy flow.

Regular Autumn Course for the members of the
Honbu Dojo Athens.
Main idea is to change the usual dojo environment and to extend the duration of the trainings, in order to go step further in the physical, technical and the mental aspects of Karate-Do development.

Course for Instructors and students & tournament.
More than a 100 participants from 10 Serbian cities. 30 Instructors.
This event was organized in order to present and demonstrate all aspects of the Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do to the public, emphasizing the benefits in regard to the different technical and age level of the participants.
Instructors had a separate sessions, but they activly took part during the students's sessions helpping in creating the serious atmosphere and setting the right example to the young ones. A short tournament was organized at the end for the younger categories.
NOVEMBER 24
Commemoration Ceremony for Kase sensei in Paris
A commemorative ceremony marking one year since Kase Taiji sensei passed away was held on Thursday 24th of November, in his home in Paris.
Besides his wife Chieko and daughter Sachiko, members of the Academy's Shihankai were present, as well as Hiroshi Shirai sensei, representatives of the French Federation and some of his closest students.
The ceremony was held by a budist priest, and according to the tradition he announced that Jitokuin Kuyo Bussen Chido Koji is the sensei's new budist name.
The whole atmosphere was emotional but very dignified.
Though sad, this ocassion was an opportunity to express loyalty to the Academy's idea and the strong determination to follow and to honor Kase sensei's heritage.

Regular Instructor Course
for the Shotokan Karate-Do Academy of Serbia
Around fifty instructors and assistants from more than ten Serbian cities attended this event. The course had a memorial character, marking one year since the death of Kase Taiji Sensei.
In the town's theatre, lecture, video and DVD projection was organized presenting some distinguished moments from the courses with Kase Sensei.
The bond that links Serbian karateka with Taiji Kase's Karate-Do is very strong and sincere, since he was the one to bring karate in Serbia almost forty years ago.

je obelezena godisnjica smrti sensei Taidji Kasea. U sali gradskog
pozorista bila je organizovana DVD i video projekcija o zivotnom i
karate putu Taiji Kasea kao i neki od karakteristicnih momenata sa
Kaseovih seminara.
